Looking for a great destination for your next buddies trip? Let us recommend an adventure to Wisconsin, where you'll find Sand Valley Golf Resort. Sand Valley is brought to you by the Dream Golf Resorts team, which also owns Bandon Dunes in Oregon!
Twenty two of us went to Sand Valley in early August for four days of golf, camaraderie and taking in everything the resort has to offer. While we highly recommend someone making an ace on your trip (congratulations, Sara!), everyone of varying skillsets had an epic weekend that quickly has become a highlight of our FTL adventures. Below is our itinerary as well as tips from some of our participants.

Our Tips and Tricks
Travel: You can fly in from Milwaukee or Madison (Madison airport being a little closer, while MKE is about two and a half hours from the resort). If you play the day of your departure, we highly recommend trying to get the first tee time on that course so you have enough time to shower in their locker room (main lodge) before your trek to the airport.
Don't be afraid to switch up your typical shots/club selection to make the sand and firm fairways a bit more manageable! - Ariel A.
Wear comfortable golf shoes; it's a lot of walking! Play everything if you can to get the full experience. Go barefoot at the Sandbox, preferably as your last round. Trust me, nothing feels better than taking your shoes off after all that walking! - Elena M.
Book a tennis court! They are stunning and it's such a fun afternoon activity. - Sara H.
Pack a bathing suit to take a dip in the lake after the round! - Lizzy R.
Check the yardages at the Sandbox before playing! While it's a shorter course, you'll want to make sure you have all the clubs you need before heading over there. - Jacqueline L.
Do not sleep on the hand pies at Sedge and ice cream sandwiches at Sand Valley! - Jacqueline L.
Since there's a private gate at Lido, you can't go back to that pro shop after you've left the facility - get your Lido shopping done on the day you play it! - Jacqueline L.
At the Sandbox: put on some tunes, grab a sandbox branded transfusion, and good vibes will follow! - Colleen Y.
Bring bug spray or a bug repellant bracelet to wear; those flies bite! - Christina S.
