fore the ladies finds

volume 3, issue 2

"There was never an Irish player on the tour, let alone a winner. Hopefully there are a lot of people watching at home tonight with big smiles on their faces and little girls watching knowing they can do that, too." -Leona Maguire, the LPGA Tour's first Irish Champion

Hi there,

There’s a lot going on at FTL and we don’t have time for pleasantries, so let’s get into it!

First: We’re excited to be developing the Fore the Ladies Tee Sheet, but we’d love your input. Please take this quick (literally 2 questions) survey about how you’d like to engage with the Tee Sheet moving forward.

Second: It’s not too late to sign up for the Fore the Ladies Five Iron Golf League teams! Next season runs March 14-May 3. Interested? Sign up here and please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions.

With that, let’s dive in to the next edition of Fore the Ladies Finds with a little intro from me, Brooke, Kristen and Sara!

-abby, founder of Fore the Ladies

february finds - abby

hello!

  • Started playing golf at 5

  • Goal is to play one official competitive round in 2022

  • Outside of golf, she’s planning a wedding and these days you can find her watching Schitt's Creek or Queer Eye

wearing

HELLO, GORGEOUS. I’m obsessed with our brand spankin’ new Fore the Ladies x Foray Golf printed skirt, which is made from same best in class 4-way stretch, wrinkle resistant Italian jersey. Represent FTL with the “Fore the Ladies” detailing between the palms. This pre-order ends 2/24 so don’t delay!!

wearing

PGA Tour caddie Wayne Birch founded Trap Golf with Roger Steele and Aaron Munn, and as shared on their website, Trap Golf is “a brand that engages the youth and helps show how golf can be just as dope as any other sport and that can offer a way beyond the street life.” I have the GOLF IS DOPE hoodie and the golf drip tee, and love the boldness to their designs.

sara’s finds

hello!

  • Started playing golf in 2018

  • Goal for 2022 is to get her handicap under 14

  • Loves a full chintz country club ladies locker room - and will break cell phone rules to take a selfie!

wearing

We love finding not-golf golf pants - these leggings are fleece-y on the inside, perfect to keep you warm on a windy or cold day. I'll be rocking these for my northeast early season rounds in (fingers crossed) March.

preparing

As always - Trillium Rose to the rescue with indoor drills when it's freezing outside. All these movements are super simple and great for your core and balance. I need to take my own advice and practice these this winter.

warming up

This is a genuis idea - a rechargable handwarmer!

brooke’s finds

hello!

  • Started playing at 8

  • Ideal round is 9 holes walking at twilight

  • Goal is to learn and play more games not just stroke play with friends

wearing

Recently had a very fun shoe shopping excursion to (L)PGA Superstore. Sidenote - I add the "L" because I'm a lady golfer :) So far 2022 golf shoe styles for women are looking great and it finally seems like there's an abundance of options. I picked up these ECCO shoes in white with peach colored soles. There are 7 (!) different color ways and I love the look so much I might easily convince myself to get a different color for each day of the week.

wearing

The extremely kind and helpful woman working at the (L)PGA Superstore recommended these socks made by Stance. She mentioned multiple times they are anatomically labeled which makes them superior and are moisture wicking. I'm not a sock expert, but her rave review stuck with me.

hydrating

Exceptional body oil that isn't greasy or too heavy in comparison to some lotions. Really does a great job at hydrating the skin during these colder months.

kristen’s finds

hello!

  • I started playing golf in middle school. The exact year is forgettable, but the pleated shorts are forever burnished in my memory.

  • My three golf goals for 2022 are to 1) tighten up my short-game (specifically, eliminate the three putt), 2) play more regular rounds with my city pals (I recently moved to the burbs) and 3) take more photos!

  • When I'm not browsing golf attire online, you can find me trying to entertain my very energetic dog (a Brittany).

wearing

FORE! Trendygolf find at 50% off! I love this classic white tee with a fun varsity letter twist.

wearing

Pair the tee above with this unexpected sale find from Golf Galaxy for a complete "be true to your school" look.

styling

Complete the look and add a litle edge with these adidas snakeskin soft spikes, which can easily take you from the course to the street. Bonus, they are also a deal at 40% off!
