Hi all!
I can still say "Happy New Year," right? I feel like the beginning of the year has been a bit of a jump scare for me. I had food poisoning, projects are off to the races at work, I made a last-minute decision to watch my Hoosiers in Atlanta, and I travel in a few weeks to speak on a panel at the PGA Show. C'est la vie, but we're moving onward and upward. Before we know it, I'll see nearly 50 of you here in Pinehurst for The Lily and at select FTL Golf Clinics around the nation!
If you follow us on Instagram, you may have seen my post about lessons learned in 2025. I think the sentiment hidden between the lines is that I'm my toughest critic and taking time off this holiday season was just what I needed to feel energized for the season ahead. We're on track to host even more events this year and I've slowly been adding more playing events to each city (even if it's just 1!). As I often share, we cannot create and host all of these events without volunteers. I'm giving you a virtual hug if you volunteered last season and if you're interested in helping us this year, you can sign up for spots here.
Chelsea, Kristen, Sara and I each have a "find" for you and we share our golf goals for the year. I hope FTL can help you achieve your goals on (and maybe off!) the course in 2026. Be sure to scroll to the bottom for a golf psychology bootcamp if you're looking to improve your game between the ears this year.

Where will you play?
We're still working on adding more events to the calendar, but we have a solid lineup live! You can check out the latest schedule here and I'll continue to share what is added over the coming weeks. Thanks to the generous support of an anonymous donor, we're also thrilled to be offering financial support for a few of our golf clinics this year. You can find the application on each event page.
All 2026 Golf Getaways are currently sold out, but I always encourage people to join the waitlist - it gets used!
All are welcome to FTL events.
Five Iron Golf League
The winter Five Iron Golf league begins February 9 and registration is live!! The 2026 Winter League runs Feb. 9 - March 31 with 8 weeks of guaranteed tee times on Monday or Tuesday nights.
Each week features drink specials and 9-holes of competitive (but very social) golf with rotating prizes, and courses. Plus - for the Winter 1 League, we will have handicaps included to level the playing field for all teams! All teams will have the chance to come in for a free handicap round on the week of 2/2 - 2/3 to develop a Trackman Handicap if you don't have one already.Sign up with a few ways to play:
FTL holds one (1) free team in each location. Sign up and your local captain will work with the group to coordinate who plays each week. (Should one of the free FTL teams win with more than four players, only four prize vouchers would be included.)
Secure a guaranteed league spot each week with a 50% discount on your entry fee(s) for you or your team. If you want to make sure you can play every single week, you can select this option to either sign up a full team, or sign up as a free agent and get matched with others - at 50% off our normal league fee!

Abby

I always need another layer this time of year and I love this rich color!
Abby's Goals
Golf goal: Purposeful practice. I would love to figure out what practice routine works for me when I have 45 minutes. One routine for the range, one for the short game area and holding 15 minutes regardless for putting. Also ... positive self talk!
Course goal: Someone recently asked me what's on my golf bucket list and I'm sticking with my response of, "anything I haven't seen yet." I'd like to add more North Carolina courses to my list and I'll start with Old Town Club. If you have an in, let me know ;)
Chelsea

I've had these rain pants since May '22, and they always keep me dry on the golf course! Here to validate you need rain pants, even if you don't play in Scotland/Bandon Dunes (I needed them in South Carolina last weekend).
Chelsea's Goals
Skill Goal: Improve Chipping! My playing partner last weekend made a great comment about practicing for feel instead of being obsessed with the distance. I need to go to the driving range more with my wedges only, and get those reps in!
Course goal: Play a new-to-me Coore & Crenshaw course (i.e. Old Sandwich, Brambles, Talking Stick, East Hampton, Dormie Club etc).
Sara

Sometimes you need a logo-free hat moment, this one is super soft and easy on your wallet.
Sara's Goal
This is easy because it's what my golf pro tells me every year: please learn your carry distances!
Kristen

I'm combating the winter blues by daydreaming about Spring. I'll be layering this neutral cotton sweater with white pants and then shorts/skirts as soon as possible.
Kristen's Goals
My goal is to commit to one independent practice session or lesson per month. I typically bring my kids to the course with me and while it's *the best ever,* I also love the mindfulness of a solo session.
Course goal: My own club! In the spirit of getting out there more in 2026, my course wish list is to enjoy Watchung Valley Golf Club in NJ.
